When Polo Was King in Hollywood

Loved the picture of Spencer Tracy with his son -- completely sweet. Great slideshow!!
I'm glad that you enjoyed it, Lisa. I loved those pictures and the back story about the Tracy family that was filled in a bit by Martha Crawford Cantarini's book too.
I am hoping that a long awaited REAL biography of Spencer Tracy by the distinguished James Curtis, will be forthcoming, as the tom-toms have been claiming for some time. (Curtis wrote the terrific James Whale: A New World of Gods and Monsters, among other excellent bios).
I suspect that there was far more complexity in Tracy's life than his legendary drinking and his long liaison with Katharine Hepburn might suggest, based on past books on him.
Publishing being a throw of the dice that it is--now more than ever--I am crossing my fingers that this will appear eventually.
